The Deep Run Aces program provides the opportunity for boys and girls to develop basic soccer skills and teamwork in a stress-free and fun environment. Teams are typically organized by gender and grade.
Teams practice one or two times per week at the discretion of the coach, generally held at a the Deep Run Complex or at a satellite complex, and play their games on Saturday in the fall (nine weeks in Fall, and Spring). Games are always played at the main Deep Run Complex.
SPRING 2019 INFORMATION
Deep Run Soccer is a long-time advocate of small-sided games, which promote player development in the younger age groups; these formats help pave for a smooth transition and a developmentally appropriate progression for skill development and tactical concepts.
Recently US Soccer launched its Player Development Initiatives for small-sided games, and the Deep Run Soccer recreational program is currently compatible with most of these recommendations, as some modifications were identified and implemented that best suit the needs of Deep Run Soccer and its players.
